I wandered. I wrote a book.
Then it all got a bit out of hand…

Ten books about long runs and longer walks, mostly on the South West Coast Path.

New here? Start with Buckle Up! for ultramarathons, or Half the Path for hiking.

The Land of Stones and Bones

100km of ridges, cliffs and pure Purbeck spirit

Rich Meston

It started with Half the Path, a plan to walk all 630 miles of the South West Coast Path in a wildly optimistic 21 days. My body was happy, my mind not so much, and I called it quits halfway round. I went back to ultramarathons, which have started going the same way, so now I'm back to walking with my pack.

For someone that hasn't read a book for years this is one I couldn't put down, feels like you are doing the walk with him, seeing the same breathtaking scenery…

Mike James, on Half the Path

If you have attempted and failed to complete the Arc, then you will devour this in one sitting, searching every page for the missing piece in your puzzle. Unlike the race, this adventure is over all too quickly.

jonathan godfrey, on Buckle Up!

This is a gritty account of what it takes to tackle 80 miles across the Jurassic coastline - and in the dark!… A must read!

Steve D., on Flippin' Hell!

I take far too many photos. Every one of them is on the map, with a bunch of stats like how far I'd got and how much climbing I'd done by then.
