Buckle Up!
The five year journey to the end of a 100-mile foot race.
One hundred miles. That's all.
The MudCrew Arc of Attrition is a foot race that gets under your skin. At least it did for serial Did-Not-Finisher, Richard Meston. One hundred miles of Cornish Coast Path from Coverack on the south coast, past the Lizard, Penzance, Land's End, Cape Cornwall and onto the north coast at Pendeen, on to St Ives, Godrevy and Portreath finishing in Porthtowan.

If you have attempted and failed to complete the Arc, then you will devour this in one sitting, searching every page for the missing piece in your puzzle. Unlike the race, this adventure is over all too quickly.
Who on earth keeps coming back for more, when the toughest 100 mile race keeps kicking you back? Rich Meston is who… This is an outstanding read.
If you've run the Arc, are currently training for or thinking about running it, then this is basically essential reading.
The line is my 2022 finish. The tags show where I stopped in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
Attempt by attempt
My head thought this race was far bigger then I could manage. And so it was.
At 45 miles I was singing and skipping over boulders. A few miles layer, my knee had other ideas.
I wasn't quite so happy. And neither was my knee.
Job's a good'un! Nailed the blighter!
